SLX iPhone 

  1. How do I get my phone in? First, make sure the phone is wiped clean, unclasp the latch, lift the top cover and insert phone.
  2. Am I missing the safety lock on the latch (secondary lock)?  No.  For the SLX 5, in the user guide, diagrams and descriptions regarding a secondary lock had not been updated.  In final production, a nickel alloy metal latch replaced a previous plastic latch, providing significant improvement in material and design.  Therefore, the references throughout the user guide and in the diagrams were not updated prior to production.  We apologize for this omission, and assure you the SLX 5 product is in no way defective or incomplete.
  3. How big is the integrated battery? The integrated battery is 2000 mAh in the SLX 4 and 2550 mAH in the SLX 5.
  4. How do I charge my phone with the integrated battery? To engage the integrated battery, press and hold the battery indicator button for approximately 4 seconds until your phone begins charging.  You will see the charge symbol on your phone confirming the charging has started.
  5. How many times can I charge my iPhone? The integrated battery in the SLX case will charge your phone approximately 1 to 1.5 times
  6. How long does it take to charge my iPhone in the case? The SLX case battery has an output of 5 volts and will take approximately 1-2 hours to fully charge your  phone
  7. How do I know if the case if fully charged?  All four LED lights will be fully illuminated while plugged into the power source or you can press the power button and all four LED's will quickly illuminate.
  8. My phone isn’t charging in the case, what do I do? First, make sure the case is fully charged. Second, make sure phone is seated properly and connected to the internal connector.  Then, engage the integrated battery by pressing and holding the battery indicator button for approximately 4 seconds until your phone begins to charge.
  9. How do I use the solar panel? To charge the SLX using the solar panel, ensure the solar panel is in direct sunlight for optimal charge. The 4th LED will begin to blink to indicate that it is charging.  
  10. How efficient is the solar panel? The solar panel is 20%  efficient and provides a trickle charge for the SLX case. 
  11. Does the solar panel charge my phone? No. The solar panel provides a charge for the integrated battery in the SLX case. The case can then be used to charge your phone.
  12. My solar panel isn’t working, what do I do? Ensure the solar panel is in direct sunlight for optimal charge. The 4th LED will begin to blink to indicate that it is charging.  If the 4th LED does not begin to blink automatically, press the battery indicator button as you place the case in direct sunlight.
  13. Can the battery charge my phone while I charge the case battery with the solar panel?  When using the solar panel the battery is either charging or discharging.  While charging the phone, the solar panel will not charge the battery in the case.  To charge the battery in the case from the solar panel, hold the power button until the LED lights slide from right to left indicating power off.  Place the solar panel in direct sunlight and the 4th LED should start flashing indicating that the case battery is receiving a charge.
  14. Is sound distorted when using the case? No. The call quality is clear, however the volume is slightly reduced. Sound from the speaker phone is slightly muted.
  15. Can I use headphones while my phone is in the SLX 4 case? With the SLX4 case, the use of headphones is not available. We recommend using Bluetooth.
  16. Can I use headphones while my phone is in the SLX 5 case? Yes. The SLX5 case features a headphone jack and adapter for headphone use.

  20. Can I use the volume controls and silent switch with the case? Kind of. The volume buttons are completely accessible, however, the use of the silent switch is not.
  21. Can I still take pictures and videos with the case? Of course! Both front and back cameras are accessible
  22. Can I use the case underwater to take photos and videos? Yes! Both front and back cameras are accessible. Turn the camera on to the preferred setting and use either volume button as the shutter switch.  
  23. How far can I go underwater with the SLX? The case has a rating of IP-68 and is certified to a depth of up to 2 meters (6 feet).
  24. How high can I drop the case from? The SLX is has a rating of MIL SPEC 810-G with a 2 meter (6 feet) drop protection.
  25. None of the LEDs come on, why? Make sure the case is fully charged. 
  26. LEDs keep blinking rapidly, why? Try unplugging and plugging in again to charge.
  27. Does the screen make the touch screen less responsive? No! The touch screen is fully responsive.

 

SLXtreme iPad 

  1. How do I get my iPad in? First, make sure the iPad is wiped clean, unclasp the latch, lift the top cover and insert iPad.  When closing the case, please make sure the lift tab is tucked inside the lid before locking completely.
  2. How big is the integrated battery? The integrated battery is 10200 mAh 
  3. How long does it take to charge my iPad in the case? The SLX case will charge your iPad within 3-4 hours.
  4. How do I charge my iPad with the integrated battery? To engage the integrated battery, press and hold the battery indicator button for approximately 4 seconds until your iPad begins charging.  Your charging indicator will be displayed on your iPad.
  5. How do I know if the case is fully charged?  All four LED lights will be fully illuminated while plugged into the power source or you can press the power button and all four LED's will quickly illuminate.
  6. My iPad isn’t charging in the case, what do I do? First, make sure the case is fully charged. Second, make sure iPad is seated properly and connected to the internal connector.  Then, engage the integrated battery by pressing and holding the battery indicator button for approximately 4 seconds until your iPad begins to charge.
  7. The case won’t charge my other devices with the USB out, why? Make sure to fully charge your case and ensure your device is compatible. the SLX cannot charge 19 Volt devices
  8. Is sound distorted when using the case? Nope!
  9. Can I use headphones while my iPad is in the case? Of course you can! The SLX case features a headphone jack and adapter for headphone use.

SLPowers 

  1. How many times can I charge my devices? The SLP 2.4  allows one full charge. The SLP7 allows 3-4 full charges and the SLP11 allows 5-6 full charges.
  2. Battery isn’t turning on, why? Make sure to fully charge the SLP and to begin charging your device press the battery indicator button.
  3. How long does it take to charge my devices? The SLP charges at a rate of 5 volts/2 amps/-2 amps.
  4. How long does it take to charge the battery? The SLP 2.4 takes about 1-2 hours, SLP7 takes about 3-4 hours and the SLP11 takes about 4-6 hours.
  5. How do I know if the battery if fully charged? All four LED lights will be fully illuminated while plugged into the power source or you can press the power button and all four LED's will quickly illuminate.
  6. I lost the micro USB cable, what should I use? You can use any USB to Mirco USB cable.
  7. LEDs aren’t lighting up, why? Make sure the case is fully charged. 
  8. Is the SLP 2.4/7/11 allowed on planes? Yes,they are allowed on planes.
